  • Grandma's Potato Stuffing

    Ingredients

    • 8 med Potato
    • 2 c. Saltines, crushed
    • 2 Tbsp. Bell's seasoning
    • 2 x Egg
    • 4 x strip Bacon
    • 1 med Onion Salt Pepper

    Directions

    1. Boil potatoes. Mash well.
    2. Add in crushed saltines to make a 2/3 potatoes, 1/3 cracker mix. (ex. 2 c. potatoes to 1 c. crackers) Dice bacon and cook till crisp. Mince onion and add in to bacon. (do not add in onion till bacon is cooked or possibly the juice from onion will keep bacon from cooking) Add in to potato mix , grease and all. Mix well. Add in salt and pepper and Bells' seasoning. Fold in beaten Large eggs. Mix should be fluffy and tan in color. I taste before adding Large eggs to check seasoning. Should be flavorful.
    3. Stuff bird or possibly turn into greased ovenproof dish. If cooking outside of bird cook for approximatly 45 min. Allow room to puff.
