    The classic paprika-flavored dish from Hungary, stewed in a microwave.

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb. beef, cubed
    • 2 cups potatoes, diced
    • 1 cup onion, chopped
    • ½ cup bell pepper, chopped
    • ½ cup beef broth
    • ¼ cup tomato, pureed
    • ¼ cup wine
    • 2 tbs. flour
    • 1 tbs. paprika
    • ¼ tsp. caraway seeds
    • ¼ tsp. garlic, powdered

    Directions

    1. Mix all but the flour and cook, covered, for three minutes with 950 watts. Stir, re-cover, and stew with 350 watts for an hour, stirring occasionally.
    2. Spoon the liquid out of the stew and mix it with the flour. Stir this back into the beef mixture and then heat for two minutes, uncovered, at 950 watts. Stir and let stand for several minutes.
    3. Serve over egg noodles or dumplings.
