  • Ginger And Marmalade Cake

    Ingredients

    • 250 gm self raising flour
    • 2 tsp baking pwdr
    • 2 tsp grnd ginger
    • 1 pch salt
    • 1 x lemon grated zest
    • 150 gm demerara sugar
    • 125 gm butter
    • 150 gm golden brown syrup
    • 150 gm clear honey
    • 2 Tbsp. marmalade
    • 1 lrg egg beaten
    • 150 ml lowfat milk

    Directions

    1. Aga equipment:small roasting fin lined on fourth set of runners in roasting ovenwith cool shell on second set of runners Or possibly second set of runners in baking ovenof four ovenaga
    2. Sift the flour ginger baking pwdr and salt together into a largo bowl.
    3. Heat all the remaining ingredients in a pan on the simmering plate except the egg and lowfat milk till the butter has just melted.
    4. Allow to cold slightly then beat in the egg and lowfat milk.
    5. Pour the mix into the dry ingredients and mix quickly and thoroughly.
    6. Scrape into the prepared tin and bake in the roasting ovenfor 25 to 30 minnutes or possibly for 40 to 45 min in the four ovenaga baking oven.
    7. Mark into squares then transfer to a wire rack to cold completly before cutting.
    8. A quick miz quick bake cake.
    9. Makes about 18 pcs
