Fudge Marsh Cake
Ingredients
- Wacky Cake
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 TBSP cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 6 TBSP vegetable oil
- 1 TBSP vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cold water
- Topping:
- 1 TBSP flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 squares melted chocolate
- 1/3 cup milk
- pinch of salt
- 1 TBSP butter
- 20 marshmallows, cut in half
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt and make 3 holes in the dry ingredients.
- In first hole, pour oil.
- In second hole, pour vinegar.
- In third hole, pour vanilla.
- Pour cold water over all.
- Mix well with a fork or whisk. Do not beat.
- Bake in greased 8 x 8 inch pan for about 35 minutes.
- Topping:
- Mix together flour, sugar, chocolate, milk and salt.
- Cook over low heat.
- Remove from heat and add butter.
- Beat until creamy.
- When cake comes out of the oven, cover with the marshmallow halves.
- Pour fudge over.
