Fruit Or Berry Crisp
Ingredients
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 2 quarts. (8 ounce) fresh fruit (cut up) or possibly fresh berries
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. oatmeal, reg. or possibly instant
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. butter, melted and cooled
Directions
- In a large bowl put together the 1 cup white sugar and 1/3 cup flour. Add in fruit and mix well. Spoon into a greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish.In the same bowl put together the 1 cup flour, oatmeal, the two sugars and with a pastry blender cut in the butter till the mix is crumbly. Sprinkle these crumbs over the fruit mix.
- Meanwhile prepare a pie crust mix approximately sufficient for one scant crust. Roll this out and cut out rounds using a glass and cut these in half for half moon.
- Place 12 on the crisp - 3 across and 4 down to serve for 12. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 min or possibly till fruit is tender. Serve warm.
