Fried Green Tomatoes And Cucumber Slices
Ingredients
- 2 lrg Green tomatoes, sliced 1/2 " thick
- 1 lrg Yellow cucumber, peeled Evaporated lowfat milk as needed Quick cooking rolled oats Oil as needed
Directions
- Slice the green tomatoes about 1/2" thick. Peel 1 large yellow cucumber, slice and remove seeds. Season. Dip slices in evaporated lowfat milk, then in the oats. (Rub oats between your hands to make them fine.) Fry slowly in warm oil till brown and tender.
