Fried Cabbage
Each vegetable added increases the vegetable servings. 1/8 head of cabbage = 1 serving, 1 tomato, 1 onion, etc, each add to the final serving count.. This recipe makes 6 servings. Ingredients
- 1/2 head of cabbage (4 servings)
- 1 medium tomato, cut up
- 1 medium onion, cut up
- (opt) 2 stalks of celery, cut up (adds a 7th serving)
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Optional:
- Crazy salt or other seasoned salts/spices to taste
- Molly McButter
Directions
- Heat chicken base broth in wok or large frypan.
- Add cut up cabbage, onion, and any other optional veggies into pan all at once once the broth is hot.
- Cook, stirring regularly, until veggies are slightly crunchy or soft to your taste. Salt or spice as desired. If you add tomatoes, there will be remaining juices in the pan -- otherwise, cook until juices are gone and the veggies begin to "fry up" a bit.
- If you use Molly McButter, sprinkle it lightly as a last step on your plate before eating. Don't cook it into the food.
