  • Fleming's Chocolate Pecan Pie

    Ingredients

    • 1 stk unsalted butter
    • 2/3 c. Firmly packed light brown sugar
    • 3 x Large eggs
    • 1/4 tsp Salt
    • 1 tsp Vanilla extract Good dash of bourbon
    • 1/2 c. Corn syrup
    • 3 Tbsp. Molasses
    • 1 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
    • 1/3 c. Minced pecans
    • 1/2 c. Semisweet chocolate chips
    • 1 x 9 inch pie shell Whipped cream, for garnish

    Directions

    1. Fleming's restaurant in South Dade. It always seemed to be the perfect ending to a perfect dinner. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat the butter and sugar till very light. Add in the Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add in salt, vanilla, bourbon, corn syrup and molasses. Blend well. Sprinkle the flour over the pecans, then toss the pecans and chocolate chips into the filling. Turn into pie shell and bake 35 min.
    2. Serve with whipped cream.
    3. Makes 8 servings.
