Flaked Rice With Jaggery ( Gul Pohe )
Ingredients
- 600 gm flaked rice soaked for 15 min in water and liquid removed
- 150 gm jaggery grated
- 6 Tbsp. coconut grated if fresh or possibly desiccated
- 1 tsp cardamom pwdr
Directions
- Mix all the ingredients with your hand kneading lightly to blend.
- You may need to sprinkle in a little water if the mix is too dry.
- There should be no liquid visible.
- Serve at room temperature.
- Commonly served for lunch. Use medium rice flakes as the fine ones would disintegrate.
