Fiesta Hot Chocolate
Looking for an über rich hot cocoa? This is a spin off of Café Mexicano. Fiesta Hot Chocolate has similar properties. Instead of using coffee, you use milk. Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1 Tbsp. All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Packed Dark Brown Sugar
- 4 Cups Milk
- 3 Whole Cloves
- 1 Stick Cinnamon, Broken In Half
- 2 Tbsp. Powdered Sugar
- 1 1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
- Garnish:
- Whipped Cream
- Cinnamon Sticks
Directions
- Mix cocoa and flour in 2-quart saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, milk, cloves, and 1 stick cinnamon. Heat just to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes (DO NOT boil).
- Remove from heat; remove cloves and cinnamon. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat with a wire whisk until foamy.
- Pour into 4 cups or mugs. Serve with whipped cream and cinnamon sticks.
