Fern's Dumplings
This is a wonderful NO FAIL recipe. Taste so great on a cold day. I always make more than what the recipe calls for so I will have left overs the next day. Ingredients
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup oil
- 2/3 cup water
- Large pot of homeaid Chicken broth
Directions
- Combine all ingredients till mixed good.
- Roll out dough to your desired thicknes on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut into desired sized dumplings.
- Drop into boiling Chicken broth lightly spreading them out of the way as your pot fills up.
- You may add a little butter to your chicken broth for extra creamy flavor.
- Also if you add 2 chicken bouillion cubes to your broth it will inhance the flavor as well.
- I add a little milk as well to make a creamy juice.
- I shred my chicken and put it back in the pot after my dumplings are cooked.
