Extra Firm Tofu With Snow Peas And Bean Sprouts
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. Asian sesame oil
- 12 ounce extra-hard tofu
- 3 x garlic cloves chopped
- 1 x fresh Thai chile
- 2 1/2 c. bean sprouts - (8 ounce)
- 8 ounce snow-pea pods trimmed, and sliced diagonally into thirds Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
Directions
- Cut tofu into 1/4-inch slices and press for 30 min to 1 hour; cut into 1/4-inch slices. Heat oil in a large saute/fry pan over medium heat. Add in tofu, and cook till well browned on both sides, 6 to 8 min. Add in garlic and chile pepper, and cook 2 min.
- Raise heat to high, and add in sprouts and snow peas. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 min. Season with salt and pepper and soy sauce. Remove from heat, transfer to serving dish, and garnish with sesame seeds.
