Elaine's BBQ'd Lake Trout
Lovely Lake Trout.... barbecued to perfection and accompanied by fresh veggies and mushrooms....... a delicious and HEALTHY main dish! Ingredients
- 1 2-lb lake trout
- celery (amount your pref)
- green onions (amount your pref)
- baby carrots (amount your pref)
- 1 whole red sweet bell pepper, sliced coarsely
- 2 lbs sliced button mushrooms
- vegetable or canola oil
- 2 lemons, sliced
Directions
- clean the trout, removing head and tail if preferred
- stuff the trout with some of the onions and celery, reserving remainder...
- place a large piece of foil on the BBQ, and pour oil onto it
- light BBQ and place on LOW flame
- place a layer of sliced lemons on foil
- place the trout on top of the lemon slices, and add some slices on top
- place remaining vegetable around and on the fish
- BBQ on LOW flame for 45 -50 minutes, or until the fish is flaky and tender
- serve with mushrooms and side salad
- ENJOY!
