Eggnog and Rum Cake (Cake Mix)
Wonderful holiday cake recipe using cake mix and commercial eggnog. Ingredients
- 1 box butter or yellow cake mix
- 1 cup eggnog
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup applesauce
- 2-3 tbs. rum
- 4 tbs. melted butter, or oil
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- icing: canned buttercream or homemade (see links)
- topping: toasted sliced almonds
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 F.
- Mix cake ingredients together and pour into a greased bundt pan.
- Bake 30-35 minutes.
- Let cool, invert, place on a cooling rack.
- Frost and sprinkle on almonds.
