Easy Tres Leches Cake

- 1 box yellow or golden butter cake mix
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup water or orange juice
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Tres Leches Mixture:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 5 oz. can evaporated milk
- 14 oz. can dulce de leche (or homemade)
- Topping: Cool Whip
Directions
- Heat oven to 350F.
- In a mixing bowl beat eggs with sour cream, add butter, vanilla, and cake mix.
- Beat with a hand mixer until smooth.
- Pour into greased, floured 9x13 pan.
- Bake about 35 minutes.
- Remove from oven, cool 10 minutes, poke 30-40 holes in the cake with a skewer.
- Heat dulce de leche in a saucepan, stir until melted and smooth, add other two milks, stir until blended, pour over cake.
- Refrigerate several hours. Top with Cool Whip.
