    Delicious spareribs baked in the oven.

    Ingredients

    • 6 lbs. sapreribs, trimmed
    • 1/2 cup dry pork rub, commercial or homemade
    • 2 cups BBQ Sauce
    • Homemade Pork Rub:
    • 1 tbs. each: paprika, cumin, sugar, brown sugar, chile powder, oregano, pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder

    Directions

    1. Combine the rub ingredients.
    2. Put all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, turn down and simmer 30 minutes.
    3. Massage the rub into the ribs. Let stand room temp 1 hour, or longer in the fridge.
    4. Heat the oven to 300 F.
    5. Place the ribs in a baking pan, meaty side up, wrap with foil.
    6. Bake 1 hour.
    7. Baste ribs with sauce, bake another hour.
    8. Baste again in 30 minutes. The meat will pull away from the ends of the bones when done.
    9. Re-wrap the ribs and let rest 10-20 minutes.
    10. Cut between the bones and serve with sauce.
