  • Dutch Apple Cake 2

    Ingredients

    • 1/8 c. apple juice, frzn concentrate thawed
    • 1/8 c. fructose granulated
    • 1/4 c. apple butter or possibly unsweetened apple sauce
    • 1 x egg
    • 2/3 c. flour
    • 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1 c. apples diced
    • 1/2 c. nuts minced

    Directions

    1. *To make 1/4 c. "fruit sweetener", mix together 1/8 c. frzn apple juiceconcentrate (thawed) and 1/8 c. granulated fructose.
    2. DirectionsCombine fruit sweetener and apple butter. Beat in egg. Combine flour, bakingpowder, and salt. Blend into creamed mix. Mix in apples and nuts.
    3. Pourinto 8" x 8" pan that has been sprayed with non-stick coating. Bake for 15-20 min at 325.
    4. Yield: 12 servings
    5. NOTES : An "old country" puddin' cake. Good topped with whipped cream or possibly ice creamfor a hot, yet refreshing, dessert!
