Dae's Summer Alfredo
This is a light Alfredo with spinach and a hint of lemon to give it a lovely fresh taste without the heaviness of a normal Alfredo Sauce. Ingredients
- 1 to 2 tsp garlic..minced
- 1 to 2 Tbsp... olive oil
- 1 tsp ... torn or chopped basil
- 1 to 2 regular size jars of your favorite Alfredo Sauce or 4 cups of homemade Alfredo sauce
- 1 bunch or 2 cups of *fresh spinach
- 1 to 2 lemons... juice and zest
- Serve over Gnocchi or Ratitora pasta
- Depending on the amount of sauce you use is how many it will feed.
- One jar = 4 servings...etc
Directions
- put pot of water on to boil pasta
- Saute garlic and basil in olive oil
- Add Alfredo Sauce to garlic,basil,olive oil. Heat till a high simmer.
- Drain pasta reserving about a 1/2 cup of pasta water to add to Alfredo is sauce is too thick.
- Add spinach,lemon juice and zest at the end to keep the freshness of both the lemon and spinach.
- Serve over Gnocchi or Pasta with a good crusty bread
- Enjoy!
