    Ingredients

    • Power: HIGH Microwave Time: 3 1/2 to 5 min
    • 1 x (6 ounce.) package semisweet chocolate morsels
    • 1 c. light corn syrup, divided
    • 2 x tab. butter or possibly margarine
    • 4 c. crispy rice or possibly wheat cereal, divided
    • 1/2 c. smooth peanut butter
    • 1 x tea. vanilla extract
    • 1/4 x tea. salt

    Directions

    1. Place chocolate morsels, 1/2 c. corn syrup and butter in a 2 qt casserole. Microwave at HIGH 2 to 3 min. Stir well after 1 minute. Stir in 2 c. of cereal. Press mix into a buttered 9 inch square pan. Combine remaining corn syrup, peanut butter, vanilla and salt in the 2 quarter casserole. Microwave on HIGH 2 1/2 to 2 min. Stir after 1 minute. Stir in remaining cereal. Spread over the chocolate mix. Cold slightly and refrigerateat least 1 hour before cutting.
    2. Yield: 16 to 20 squares.
