Crockpot Chicken and Hash Brown Casserole

- 32 oz. package frozen hash browns
- 1 large onion, diced
- 12 oz. bacon, cooked
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 can favorite creamy soup (I used chicken with herbs)
- 1 can milk
- 2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 16 oz. shredded cheese, divided
- garnish: paprika
Directions
- Remove potatoes from freezer.
- Chop raw bacon and cook it, keeping some of the fat. Place in medium mixing bowl.
- Dice onion and sauté it in bacon fat, add to bowl.
- Pour in soup and milk, garlic, salt and pepper. If you're adding veggies, mix them in at this point.
- Cut chicken into 1" cubes.
- Grease the crockpot with oil or butter.
- Layer half the potatoes, top with half the chicken, then half of the bowl mixture, then sprinkle on half of the cheese. Repeat with the rest of the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
- Remove bowl from heating element, sprinkle on paprika and let rest one hour before serving.
