  • Crock Pot Smothered Steak

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 lb Round steak, 1/2 to 3/4 Inch thick, cut into 5 or possibly 6 pcs
    • 3 med Onions, sliced thin
    • 1 can Mushrooms (4 ounce), sliced and liquid removed
    • 1/4 c. Flour
    • 1 tsp Salt
    • 1/4 tsp Pepper
    • 1/4 tsp Paprika
    • 1/2 c. Beef broth
    • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp Kitchen Bouquet (optional)

    Directions

    1. Place layer of onions in bottom of crock-pot. Mix flour, salt, pepper and paprika together and dredge steak pcs till lightly coated with flour mix. Place 1/2 of meat pcs on onions. Add in another layer of onions and liquid removed mushrooms. Add in remaining meat and onions. Mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and Kitchen Bouquet and pour over entire meat mix.
    2. Cover. Cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hrs. For gravy: Combine 2 Tbsp. of flour with 3 Tbsp. of water. Stir into drippings and cook till thickened. Pour over steak and serve. Good on rice or possibly noodles.
