Croatian roux soup
Very old recipe for a soup still popular in the northwestern parts of Croatia. Ingredients
- 2 tbs sunflower oil
- ½ tsp caraway seeds
- 3 tbs flour
- 2 tsp sweet paprika
- 4 cups water (about 1 l)
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp wine vinegar
Directions
4.Add one cup of water and allow to boil without stirring. After it boils, whisk until the mixture blends smoothly. Gradualy add the remaining water, stiring well after each addition. Cook for 5 more minutes.Useful Links
