Creamy White Chili
For a more bland and none Beef Chili for a wholesome meal for a cool day! Recipe for @ 50 people Ingredients
- 8 large cans of Chicken Broth
- 10 cups of Great northern beans
- 2 pounds of Margarine
- 4 cups of sour cream
- 2 quarts of 1/2&1/2
- 1 quart of Heavy Cream
- 4 large garlic heads
- 3 large yellow onions
- 6cans of chopped green chili's
- 5 lbs of chopped chicken
Directions
- 1. Cut onions up and add minced garlic with one stick of margarine; sauté over medium heat until onions are translucent.
- 2.Soak beans over night in cool water; and drain in AM and then put in large kettle and add 2 cans of Chicken Broth boil till beans are almost soft.
- 3. Turn heat down on Beans and add another can of broth along with 1 quart of 1/2 & 1/2 with 1/2 quart of Heavy cream. Stir constantly to keep from sticking, add half of the onion mix to each pot.
- 4. Add three cans of Chopped green chili's to each kettle.
- 5. Try before adding salt or pepper.
- If there is a problem with the taste? It is normally The chicken broth, either add more or if you can't add more liquid due to space add Bouillon cubes.
