  • Cream Cheese And Vanilla Pound Cake

    Ingredients

    • 2 full c. butter or possibly 1 lb (use only pure butter)
    • 2 (8 ounce) packages. cream cheese
    • 4 lg. large eggs
    • 3 heaping T vanilla pure extract
    • 3 c. powdered sugar, sifted
    • 3 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 325°F degrees. Leave cream at room temperature 30 min before using, or possibly soften for 15-20 seconds in microwave.Cream butter with sugar till light and fluffy. Add in cream cheese and beat with electric mixer for 1 minute. Add in large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    2. Stir in vanilla extract.
    3. Turn mix to low speed. Gradually add in sifted flour till texture is smooth. Don't beat for very long after flour has been added or possibly cake will be tough - just beat long sufficient to put together ingredients.
    4. Spoon into a tube or possibly bundt baking cake pan, or possibly bake in a cake mold. Bake at 325°F for 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
    5. Cool on wire rack before serving.
    6. Makes one lb cake (approximately 12 to 15 servings) per cake. Serve with your favorite topping.
