  • Cranberry Walnut Bread

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 c. water warmed
    • 1/4 c. applesauce
    • 1/3 c. canola oil
    • 3 Tbsp. sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 1/3 c. walnuts grind as meal
    • 4 c. bread flour
    • 3 Tbsp. dry lowfat milk
    • 2/3 c. dry cranberries (craisins)

    Directions

    1. Use dough setting, add in cranberries at beep.
    2. Cut and place in desired pans. Let rise till almost double, about 35 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees F.
    3. Small pans approx 20 minutes.
    4. Medium loaves approx 30-35 minutes.
    5. Cold before slicing.
    6. Marie Says: My family just loves this bread. I've been making it for many years...if there is a special occasion I'll have to bring this bread with some orange butter (softened butter mixed with some orange marmalade)! Baked in small pans...2 1/2 x 4" pans make good gifts to go with other goodies. I usually make the dough in the breadmachine then bake in the oven. It makes a nicer looking loaf.
