  • Cornbread Beef Bake

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb Lean Grnd Beef
    • 1 med Onion, Minced (1/2 C)
    • 14 1/2 ounce Mexican-Style Stewed Tomatoes, Undrained
    • 15 ounce Black Beans, Rinsed And Liquid removed
    • 8 ounce Tomato Sauce
    • 1/2 c. Frzn Corn
    • 2 tsp Chile Pwdr
    • 11 1/2 ounce Refrigerated Cornbread Twists

    Directions

    1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook beef and onion in 10-inch ovenproof skillet over medium heat 8-10 min, stirring ocassionally, till beef is brown; drain.
    2. Stir in tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, corn and chile pwdr; heat to boiling. Immediately top with cornbread twists left in round shape (don't unwind), pressing down gently. Bake uncovered 35-40 min or possibly till cornbread is golden.
