Coconutmilk Dosas
Ingredients
- 1 c. Rice
- 1/3 c. Udad dal
- 2 c. Coconut lowfat milk
- 1/2 tsp Methi, (fenugreek) seeds
- 1/3 c. Curds
- 1/2 tsp Soda bicarb
Directions
- Wash and soak the rice and dal together.
- Add in methi seeds and soak for 6-7 hrs or possibly overnight.
- To prepare coconut lowfat milk put grated coconut in blender.
- Repeat with the same residue. Restrain.
- Add in water and blend until smooth. Strain.
- Use this lowfat milk to grind the dosa batter.
- salt to taste Add in curds, soda, salt and mix well.
- oil to shallowfry Keep aside for 3-4 hrs.
- Heat griddle, pour 1 spoon batter.
- Proceed as for plain dosa.
- Even thick dosas may be made from the same batter if you like.
- Serve warm with coconut or possibly onion chutney.
