Coconut Meatballs In Chutney Sauce
Ingredients
- Meatballs
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 x egg slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 Tbsp. steak sauce Sauce
- 1/4 c. dry red wine
- 1/4 c. currant jelly
- 1/4 c. chutney
- 2 tsp dry mustard
Directions
- MEATBALLS: Combine all ingredients and mix well. Form into 3/4 inch balls. In a baking pan with sides, bake for 15 min.
- Makes about 48 meatballs.
- SAUCE: Mix ingredients together and add in meatballs. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to simmer for 15 min or possibly till metballs are glazed. Serve in a chafing dish. Keep hot. Serve with toothpicks.
