    I actually could not find a recipe for this and had to adapt my own so I would assume it is less common. This is, as odd as it sounds, a favorite of mine. It does have very strong flavor, and you have to like molasses, but if you're good with that then this will be a favorite of yours too. You can use any pie crust.

    Ingredients

    • 3 eggs
    • 1 cup Brown sugar packed
    • 1 stick butter melted
    • 1/4 cup molasses
    • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    • 1/2 tsp. allspice
    • 1/2 tsp. ginger
    • 1 tsp. cinnamon

    Directions

    1. Melt butter in a mivrowave safe bowl.
    2. Sift all of the dry ingredients into the bowl with the butter.
    3. Add eggs, brown sugar and Molasses.
    4. Mix well.
    5. Pour into Pie crust.
