Cocoa Drop Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 c. Sugar softened
- 1/2 c. Cocoa
- 1 tsp Vanilla Or possibly whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt Ch colate frosting
- 2 Tbsp. Margarine or possibly butter
- 2 c. Powdered sugar omit
- 2/3 c. Margarine or possibly butter
- 1 x Egg
- 1/3 c. Buttermilk
- 1 3/4 c. All-purpose flour *
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 c. Minced nuts
- 2 ounce Unsweetened chocolate
- 3 Tbsp. Water if using self-rising flour Baking soda and salt.
Directions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix, sugar, margarine, egg, cocoa, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and nuts. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart into ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 min or possibly till almost no indentation remains when touched; cold. Frost with Chocolate Frosting. ABOUT 4-1/2 DOZEN COOKIES; 95 CHOCOLATE FROSTING Heat chocolate and margarine over low heat till melted. Remove from heat. Stir in water and powdered sugar till smooth.
