  • Cocoa Drop Cookies

    Ingredients

    • 1 c. Sugar softened
    • 1/2 c. Cocoa
    • 1 tsp Vanilla Or possibly whole wheat flour
    • 1/2 tsp Salt Ch colate frosting
    • 2 Tbsp. Margarine or possibly butter
    • 2 c. Powdered sugar omit
    • 2/3 c. Margarine or possibly butter
    • 1 x Egg
    • 1/3 c. Buttermilk
    • 1 3/4 c. All-purpose flour *
    • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
    • 1 c. Minced nuts
    • 2 ounce Unsweetened chocolate
    • 3 Tbsp. Water if using self-rising flour Baking soda and salt.

    Directions

    1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix, sugar, margarine, egg, cocoa, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and nuts. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart into ungreased cookie sheet.
    2. Bake 8 to 10 min or possibly till almost no indentation remains when touched; cold. Frost with Chocolate Frosting. ABOUT 4-1/2 DOZEN COOKIES; 95 CHOCOLATE FROSTING Heat chocolate and margarine over low heat till melted. Remove from heat. Stir in water and powdered sugar till smooth.
