Classic Chiffon Cheesecake
Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 (8 ounce) packages. cream cheese, softened
- 1 can sweetened condensed lowfat milk
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Preheat oven 375 F. In pan, heat butter, stir in crumbs and sugar. Pat in the bottom of a 9 inch springform pan. Bake 7 min, then cool.Reduce temperature to 300 F. Beat cream cheese till fluffy. Add in condensed lowfat milk and egg yolks. Beat till smooth. Stir in lemon juice. Set mix aside.
- Beat egg whites and salt till stiff. Fold cream cheese mix with egg whites. Pour in springform pan over crumb mix. Bake 50-55 min.
