    This is my variation on the traditional Ciopino that I make on the stove top. This one is lighter with a more delicate flavor.

    Ingredients

    • 4 cans tomatoes (basil, oregano, garlic) by hunts
    • 1 palm full fresh cilantro
    • 1 palm full fresh basil
    • grated lemon peel of 1 large lemon
    • juice of the grated lemon
    • 1 large garlic clove finely chopped
    • 1 small shallot finely chopped
    • 1/4 cup blush wine
    • 9-12 colossal shrimp
    • 6-8 large scallops (cleaned of sand)
    • 2 cod filets (1/2 inch thick)
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp pepper melange

    Directions

    1. Add the tomato, herb, garlic and shallot and wine in crock pot for 3.5 hours on high.
    2. Add the seafood and cook for 30-35 minutes longer or until the seafood is cooked thoroughly.
    3. Enjoy!
