Chocolate Ganache Cake
This is a FABULOUS chocolate ganache cake that is rich, delicious, and a cinch to make. It's flourless so it is gluten free and great for Passover too. Ingredients
- 10 ounces of bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 7 ounces butter , cut into peices
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Butter a 9 inch spring form pan and dust with cocoa powder.
- Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler, stirring occasionally until smooth.
- Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, and sugar and then whisk the melted chocolate mixture until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the spring form pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- The cake is done when it is set and quivers like pudding.
- If you touch the center, finger should come away clean.
- Cool cake on cooling rack.
