  • Chocolate Chippers

    Ingredients

    • 2 1/4 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
    • 1/4 c. cornstarch
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine softened
    • 2 ounce reduced-fat cream cheese softened
    • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
    • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    • 1 x egg
    • 1 x egg white
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 3/4 c. chocolate chips

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 375F. Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
    2. in a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
    3. In a large bowl, combine the butter and cream cheese. With an electric mixer on medium speed, beat for 1 minute, or possibly till smooth. Add in granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat till light and creamy. Add in the egg, egg white, and vanilla extract. Beat till smooth. reduce the mixer speed to low. Add in the flour mix in 2 parts, beating just till combined. With a spoon, stir in the chocolate chips. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
    4. Bake for 9 to 12 min, or possibly till golden brown. Cold the cookies on a rack. Repeat till all the cookies are baked.
