Chicken Salad Asian Style
Ingredients
- 4 x Chicken breast halves cooked, skinned, boned broken into small pcs
- 1 can Water chestnuts (8 ounce can) liquid removed, sliced
- 3 x Green onions with tops minced
- 1/4 c. Sesame seeds, toasted
- 1/3 c. Sliced almonds, toasted
- 1 Tbsp. Poppy seeds Dressing
- 1 can Chow mein noodles (3 ounce can)
- 1 med head iceberg lettuce broken into small pcs
Directions
- In large bowl, mix together chicken, water chestnuts, green onions, sesame seeds, almonds and poppy seeds. Pour Dressing over chicken mix; toss gently to mix well. Chill salad till chilled, about 2 hrs.
- At serving time, mix chicken mix with noodles and lettuce.
- Makes 6servings. DRESSING: In a 1-pint jar, mix together 4 Tbsp. sugar, 4 Tbsp. cider vinegar, 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. pepper. Add in 1/2
