Cherry Plum Slump
Ingredients
- 2 c. Sliced, pitted prunes
- 1 c. Pitted sweet cherries
- 1/4 c. Sugar
- 3/4 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 3 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1/3 c. Lowfat milk
Directions
- In a 3-qt saucepan combine fruit, 1/2 c. of the sugar, and 1/4 c. water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Meanwhile for dumplings, stir together flour, 1/4 c. remaining sugar, baking pwdr, cinnamon, and 1/8 tsp. salt. Cut in butter to resemble coarse crumbs. Add in lowfat milk, stirring just to moisten. Spoon dough in 6 mounds atop warm filling. Cover and simmer about 15 min or possibly until toothpick inserted in the dumplings comes out clean. Serve hot.
