Cheesy Green Chile Grits
Ingredients
- Wonderful as is, or possibly served with tomato gravy
- 2 c. regular grits, not quick or possibly instant
- 6 c. water
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 x 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 ounce minced mild green chile
- 1 x jalapeno chiles, seeded, finely minced
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 6 ounce grated sharp cheddar cheese stirred in at the end
Directions
- Combine all ingredients except the cheese in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hrs, stirring occasionally.
- Serves 6-8
