Cheddar Garlic Chicken
There are many chicken recipes available, but to get one that is easy and good is sometime tough. In Italian this is sometimes referred as : L'aglio, il formagio cheddar/Romano Polio Ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken breasts cut in half and pounded(you can use chicken thighs instead)
- 3/4 C. butter or oleo
- 1 1/2 T. minced garlic
- 1 1/2 C. cheddar cheese
- 1/3 C. Grated Romano Cheese
- 1 C. bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. brown sugar ( optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Line a 13 x 9 baking dish with foil
- In a shallow bowl, mix together cheese, bread crumbs, parsley and black pepper ( optional brown sugar)
- In a pan melt butter: add garlic and cook for a few minutes
- Dip each chicken part in the butter-garlic mixture until well coated.
- Press each chicken part into the crumb mixture making sure both sides are covered
- Arrange the chicken in the baking pan. Drizzle any remaining butter or bread crumbs on top
- Bake for about 25 - 30 minutes or when chicken is no longer pink and juices are clear
