  • Cat Head Parmesan Garlic Biscuits

    Ingredients

    • 2 c. all-purpose flour
    • 2 1/2 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Pwdr
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese
    • 2 Tbsp. garlic pwdr more or possibly less to taste parsley flakes
    • 1/3 c. shortening
    • 3/4 c. lowfat milk

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening to resemble coarse cornmeal. Add in lowfat milk till mix pulls away from sides of bowl. Take handfuls of dough (about the size of a cats head (thus cat head biscuits)) in floured hands and drop into buttered cast iron skillet. (Make sure wooden handle is removed if it has one as this will be placed in oven to cook). Brush tops with melted butter and bake in oven till tops are golden brown. (12 to 15 minutes.)
