Caramel Oatmeal Brownies
Ingredients
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 (1 ounce) env. premelted unsweetened chocolate
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 2 T lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- CRUMB CRUST: Heat butter; add in remaining ingredients and blend till mix forms coarse crumbs. Press in ungreased 8-inch square pan.TOPPING: Heat butter and chocolate together. Add in remaining ingredients and blend well. Pour slowly over crumb crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min. Cool; cut into bars.
