CANDIED PECANS
THIS RECIPE I MADE AND EVERY ONE OF MY FRIENDS GET ON CHRISTMAS. THIS IT SOMETHING YOU CAN NOT STOP EATING. I GIVE THE BASIC RECIPE YOU CAN ADD WHAT FLAVOR YOU WANT. I MAKE THEM HOT,SWEET,RUM,WISKEY,AMARETTO,MANY KINDS OF SEASONINGS. Ingredients
- 2 CUPS OF SUGAR
- 1/2 CUP WATER OR IF YOU USE AMARETTO OR LIQUID USE 1/4 ON BOTH
- 1/2 TSP SALT
- 2 CUPS OR MORE TO OF PECANS YOU DON'T WANT IT TOO MUCH LIQUID
- THE FLAVOR JUST ADD WHAT YOU THINK BUT DON'T GO TO WILD. PEPPER GOES A LONG WAY, I HAVE USED JUICE OF ORANGE, PINEAPPLE, APPLE,CHOCOLATE WITH AMARETTO LAST YEAR THEY WERE VERY GOOD.
Directions
- PUT SUGAR, WATER IN POT AND SALT. YOU HAVE TO STIR THIS ALL THE TIME ON MEDIUM HEAT TILL IT GETS TO A HARD BOIL OR IT LOOKS LIKE ITS ABOUT TO BURN. POUR INTO A 13" X 18" 1/2 TRAY. AS IT COOL RUN A WOOD SPOON THROUGH TO BREAK THEM UP IN TO PIECES.
