Cabbage And Ham Casserole
Ingredients
- 1/2 x cabbage, green
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. onions, medium
- 1 c. ham
- 1/2 c. white wine
- 2 c. Bechamel (white) sauce
- 1/2 c. cream salt, pepper
- 2 Tbsp. parmesan cheese
Directions
- Finely slice onions, cabbage and ham.
- Heat butter in a large pan, add in onion and cook gently 3 min to soften. Add in cabbage, ham and white wine, cover and cook till cabbage wilts.
- Transfer to a buttered casserole dish.
- Heat Bechamel sauce with cream, season well and pour over cabbage. Sprinkle top with parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the oven at 180C/350F for 20 min till casserole bubbles and the top is golden.
