Broiled Figs With Almonds And Port
Ingredients
- 6 lrg fresh figs halved lengthwise
- 2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. slivered almonds
- 6 Tbsp. port
Directions
- Place figs cut-side-up in shallow oven-proof dish. Sprinkle each fig half with 1/2 tsp. brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. almonds. Place dish 5 inches from broiler and broil till sugar begins to bubble and almonds are toasted, about 3 min.
- Place figs on plates, 2 halves per serving. Sprinkle each serving with 1 Tbsp. port.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
