Broccoli In Lemon Sauce
Ingredients
- 20 ounce Pk frzn broccoli spears
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 Tbsp. Flour
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 tsp Grated lemon peel
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Grnd ginger
Directions
- 1. Cook broccoli in a shallow, heat-resistant, non- metallic, 1 1/2-qt baking dish. Drain and set aside.
- 2. In a small, heat-resistant, non-metallic bowl heat butter or possibly margarine in Microwave Oven 30 seconds.
- 3. Blend in flour with a fork till smooth. Gradually stir in lowfat milk. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 1 minute or possibly till thickened and smooth.
- 4. Gradually stir in lemon peel and juice so which the mix does not curdle. Stir in salt and ginger till well blended.
- 5. Spoon sauce over liquid removed broccoli spears. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 1 to 2 min or possibly till heated through.
