Braised Short Ribs Of Beef With Black Beans
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. Fermented black beans
- 1 1/2 lb Beef short ribs
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 x Clove garlic
- 1 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Sherry
- 1 x Or possibly
- 2 Tbsp. Oil
- 1 c. Water
Directions
- 1. Soak fermented black beans.
- 2. With a cleaver, chop ribs in 1- by 2-inch sections. Sprinkle with salt.
- Let stand 30 min.
- 3. Mince garlic and mash with soaked black beans. Stir in soy sauce and sherry.
- 4. Heat oil. Brown rib sections lightly. Add in black bean mix and stir-fry 2 min more.
- 5. Add in water and bring quickly to a boil. Then simmer, covered, till done
- (about 45 min).
