Braised Beef Tips over Rice
I dont really know where this recipe came from but its a family favorite that my kids beg for. Its a really quick and simple but delicious meal. Ingredients
- 2 lbs. Stew meat
- 16oz. beef broth
- 1 clove of garlic minced
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1/3 c. white wine
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp.cooking oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups cooked rice
Directions
- In a large skillet heat the oil in a pan
- Add the stew meat cook until browned on all sides
- Add the garlic and onions stirring just enough to distribute throughout the meat
- Pour in the broth and the wine
- Cover the skillet and cook on medium/medium low for about 45 minutes or until meat is done stirring occasionally.
- Mix the cornstarch and water together until well blended and add to the liquid to thicken into gravy (this usually takes about 3-5 minutes) serve over rice.
