  • Braised Beef Tips over Rice

    I dont really know where this recipe came from but its a family favorite that my kids beg for. Its a really quick and simple but delicious meal.

    Ingredients

    • 2 lbs. Stew meat
    • 16oz. beef broth
    • 1 clove of garlic minced
    • 1 medium onion chopped
    • 1/3 c. white wine
    • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    • 1/4 c. water
    • 2 Tbsp.cooking oil
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 3 cups cooked rice

    Directions

    1. In a large skillet heat the oil in a pan
    2. Add the stew meat cook until browned on all sides
    3. Add the garlic and onions stirring just enough to distribute throughout the meat
    4. Pour in the broth and the wine
    5. Cover the skillet and cook on medium/medium low for about 45 minutes or until meat is done stirring occasionally.
    6. Mix the cornstarch and water together until well blended and add to the liquid to thicken into gravy (this usually takes about 3-5 minutes) serve over rice.
