Boston Baked Beans
Ingredients
- 1 pound navy beans or possibly pea beans
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 pound salt pork
Directions
- Wash beans and soak overnight. Put into bean pot. Add in sugar, molasses, dry mustard, and salt pork. Add in sufficient water to cover beans. Cook for 4-6 hrs at 325 degrees. Stir several times during cooking and add in water if needed. May be cooked in a crock pot on high.
