  • Blend Of The Bayou Seafood Casserole

    Ingredients

    • 8 ounce cream cheese
    • 1 stk margarine or possibly butter
    • 1 lb shrimp, peeled
    • 1 lrg onion, minced
    • 1 x bell pepper, minced
    • 2 x ribs celery, minced
    • 2 Tbsp. butter
    • 1 can mushroom soup
    • 1 can mushrooms, liquid removed
    • 1 Tbsp. garlic salt
    • 1 tsp Tabasco
    • 1/2 tsp red pepper
    • 1 pt crab meat
    • 3/4 c. cooked rice sharp cheese grated cracker crumbs

    Directions

    1. Heat cream cheese and 1 stick of butter in a double boiler. Saute/fry shrimp, onion, pepper, and celery in 2 Tbs. butter. Add in to the first mix.
    2. Add in soup, mushrooms, seasonings, crab meat, and rice, mix well. Place in a 2-quart. casserole dish and top with cheese and cracker crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees about 20 - 30 min, or possibly till bubbly. Freezes well.
    3. Serves 8.
