Black Walnut Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 3/4 lb Butter, softened
- 1 box (1 Lb) Powdered Sugar
- 6 x Large eggs
- 4 c. Flour
- 1/2 c. Water
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 4 ounce Black Walnuts, minced
Directions
- Grease and lightly flour a 9" tube pan. Cream butter till light and fluffy, then gradually add in sugar. Add in Large eggs one at a time, beating till light and creamy. Add in flour alternately with water and vanilla, beating till smooth and light. Mix in walnuts. Pour in pan and bake at 350 one hour till tester comes out clean. Don't overbake, or possibly it will be dry.
