This is actually my wife's spaghetti recipe and it's fantastic. I never, never order spaghetti when we dine out. Even at some of the best Italian restaurants, I find it very bland, offering mostly tomato sauce with out much flavor. I think you'll love this one.

    Ingredients

    • 16 oz lean Ground beef
    • 1 Medium Onion diced
    • 1 bell pepper diced
    • 24 oz Tomato Sauce
    • 14.5 oz Stewed tomatoes, crush with hand
    • 14.5 oz Water
    • 1 tbsp Dried Basil
    • 1 tbsp Dried oregano
    • 1 tbsp Chili powder
    • 1 tbsp Parsley Flakes
    • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
    • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
    • 4 Beef or chicken bullion cubes
    • 1 tsp Accent seasoning (optional)
    • Spaghetti, 24 oz

    Directions

    1. 1. Add 2 tablespoon of olive oil and Saute the ground beef, diced onion and bell pepper together until meat is browned. Drain liquid and return to pan.
    2. 2. Add all spices, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes and water to meat and simmer twenty (20) minutes.
    3. 3. Bring four quarts of water to a boil and add 2 tablespoons of salt and 1 1/2 pounds of spaghetti. Stir until water returns to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 8 to 9 minutes to desired tenderness. Drain and plate. Add desired amount of sauce to each serving. Serve and enjoy.
    4. *NOTE: Because of the bullion cubes, make sure you taste before adding salt.
